First seen Jan 21, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study looks back at medical records of 200 people with severe lung failure (ARDS) to see if their immune system affects their risk of getting extra infections. Researchers will check for reactivation of viruses like herpes and measure different immune cells. The goal is to find patterns that could help doctors predict and prevent these secondary infections.
