Summary
This early-stage trial tested whether combining a topical cream (imiquimod) with an immunotherapy drug (pembrolizumab) is safe and effective for people with advanced melanoma that has spread. Seven participants with stage IIIB to IV melanoma were enrolled. The study aimed to measure side effects, tumor shrinkage, and how long patients lived without their cancer getting worse.
