New peptide scan could spot hidden cancers

Summary
This early-stage study tests a new radioactive tracer called 18F-αvβ6-BP to see if it can safely and effectively image several types of cancer, including breast, colorectal, lung, and pancreatic cancers. About 27 adults with primary or metastatic cancer will receive the tracer and then have a PET scan. The goal is to check for side effects and measure how well the tracer highlights tumors, which could lead to better cancer detection.
