First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study followed 255 women with gestational diabetes to see if a blood test during pregnancy could predict who will develop type 2 diabetes after giving birth. Researchers measured three markers in the blood and checked glucose tolerance three months after delivery. The goal is to focus follow-up care on women at highest risk.
