First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study looked at whether certain hormone levels in the blood differ between people with Alzheimer's disease, those with mild memory problems, and healthy older adults. Researchers measured IGF-I and IGFBP-3 in 693 participants to see if these levels are linked to thinking and memory. The goal was to better understand the biology of Alzheimer's, not to test a treatment.
