This study looked at 110 obese patients having knee or hip replacement surgery under spinal anesthesia. Researchers compared two ways to calculate the dose of a sedative called remimazolam: one based on ideal body weight and one on total body weight. The goal was to find which dose reduces breathing problems during surgery.
