First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looked at 110 obese patients (BMI over 25) having knee or hip replacement surgery under spinal anesthesia. Researchers compared two ways to calculate the dose of the sedative remimazolam: using ideal body weight versus total body weight. The goal was to find which dose reduces breathing problems during surgery while still keeping patients comfortable.
