Nurses train to detect silent organ threat in sepsis

NCT ID NCT07406750

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether intensive care nurses can learn to use a special ultrasound method called VExUS to find early signs of blood buildup in the veins of sepsis patients. Sepsis can cause organ damage, and this buildup may make it worse. The study will train nurses, check how well they perform the scans, and see if the results relate to patient outcomes.
