First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looks at whether a 15-minute meeting between ICU nurses and patients they once cared for can boost the nurses' sense of fulfillment and reduce burnout. Twenty nurses and ten former ICU patients are taking part. Nurses are randomly assigned to either meet with a patient or just complete surveys. The goal is to understand how these encounters affect the nurses' professional well-being.
