First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looked at whether keeping a diary during intensive care can lower the risk of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in people who survived a sudden cardiac arrest and in their family members. About 173 patients and their relatives took part. Researchers measured PTSD symptoms three months after the event to see if the diary helped.
