Summary

This study tests whether ibudilast, an anti-inflammatory drug used in Japan for asthma, can help people with alcohol use disorder reduce heavy drinking. Fifty adults will take ibudilast or a placebo for 6 weeks, plus receive counseling. The main goal is to see if the drug lowers the number of heavy drinking days.
