NCT ID NCT06743776
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This program offers the drug ibudilast (MN-166) to people with ALS who cannot join other clinical trials. Participants take the drug by mouth, starting at a lower dose and increasing. The goal is to see if ibudilast can slow the progression of ALS. The program also collects blood samples to study biomarkers.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
ibudilast (MN-166)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could help slow the progression of ALS in patients who cannot join other clinical trials.
What could go wrong
This is an expanded access program, not a formal trial, so results are less certain. Ibudilast may not slow ALS for everyone and could cause side effects.
