NCT ID NCT07212569
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study will compare the small intestinal bacteria and their byproducts in 90 people with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and healthy volunteers. Using special swallowable capsules, researchers will collect samples directly from the small intestine, an area not well studied in IBS. The goal is to identify specific bacterial differences that may cause IBS symptoms, which could lead to better treatments in the future.
