Gum disease breakthrough? blood concentrate may regrow bone without surgery
NCT ID NCT07613606
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether a substance made from a patient's own blood (injectable platelet-rich fibrin, or i-PRF) can improve bone regrowth when used with a gentle, non-surgical deep cleaning for gum disease. About 40 adults with advanced periodontitis and deep bone pockets will be enrolled. The goal is to see if this combination helps fill in the bone defects better than cleaning alone.
