Can a Nurse's calming words ease your fear of a heart scan?

NCT ID NCT07424209

Summary

This study is testing if a special, calming way of talking to patients can reduce their emotional distress during a common heart test called coronary angiography. 306 adults scheduled for this elective procedure will be randomly assigned to either receive this 'hypnotic communication' from trained nurses or receive standard care. The main goal is to see if this technique lowers patients' stress, anxiety, and pain levels during and after the procedure.
