First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Researchers will measure anxiety levels before and after surgery using a standard questionnaire.

What this could lead to

If it works, this could offer a drug-free way to ease anxiety and improve comfort during minor facial surgeries.

What could go wrong

This is a small, early-stage study (66 people) at one hospital, so results may not apply widely. Hypnosis may not work for everyone, and the study relies on self-reported anxiety scores.
