First seen Mar 18, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a single session of hyperbaric oxygen therapy (breathing pure oxygen in a pressurized chamber) can reduce brain damage in people who survive a hanging attempt. About 50 adults will either receive standard intensive care or standard care plus one oxygen session. The goal is to see if this treatment helps prevent long-term thinking and memory problems.
