New hybrid rehab could help PAD patients walk farther and feel better

NCT ID NCT07550959

First seen May 01, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tests a hybrid cardiac rehabilitation program for people with peripheral artery disease (PAD), a condition that reduces blood flow to the legs and causes pain while walking. The program combines supervised exercise at a center with home-based telerehabilitation using wearable trackers. Researchers will compare it to standard supervised exercise to see if the hybrid approach improves walking distance, reduces symptoms, and boosts quality of life. The study involves 40 adults aged 50-70 with stable PAD.
