New hybrid rehab could help PAD patients walk farther and feel better

NCT ID NCT07550959

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests a hybrid cardiac rehabilitation program for people with peripheral artery disease (PAD), a condition that reduces blood flow to the legs and causes pain while walking. The program combines in-person supervised exercise sessions with home-based telerehabilitation using wearable activity trackers. Researchers will compare this approach to standard supervised exercise therapy in 40 adults aged 50-70 to see if it improves walking distance, reduces symptoms, and enhances quality of life.
