New shot aims to silence hepatitis b virus for good

This study tests an experimental drug called HRS-5635, given alone or with other medications, in people with chronic hepatitis B. The goal is to lower or clear the hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) from the blood, which could mean better long-term control of the virus. About 369 adults who are already on standard antiviral therapy will take part. The study is in Phase 2, meaning it is still early and focused on finding the right dose and checking safety.
