Blood test could spot cervical cancer return sooner

NCT ID NCT07493928

Summary

This study is testing whether HPV tests from blood and cervical swabs can detect the return of cervical cancer earlier in patients who have completed radiotherapy. Researchers will follow 120 patients for two years after their treatment to see if these tests are more sensitive than current standard monitoring methods. The goal is to gather evidence for using HPV testing in routine follow-up care to catch recurrences sooner.
