At-Home HPV test kits at Walk-In clinics could boost cancer screening

NCT ID NCT07186530

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study looks at whether giving women a simple self-collection kit for HPV testing at Express Care clinics (which have evening and weekend hours) can increase the number of women who get screened for cervical cancer. About 500 women ages 30–63 who are overdue for screening will be invited to try the self-test instead of the usual doctor-collected swab. The goal is to see if this easier option leads to more screenings and proper follow-up for abnormal results.
