Scientists test if pain slows down how seniors learn to walk
NCT ID NCT07054840
Summary
This study aims to understand how a temporary, experimental pain affects the way healthy older adults learn and remember new walking patterns. Researchers will use a special split-belt treadmill and a safe, short-term pain stimulus. The goal is to gather basic knowledge about how pain and motor learning interact in aging, not to provide treatment.
