Summary
This study looks at how a device that gently stimulates nerves in the ear might relieve pain. Researchers want to know if it works by making the body release its own natural painkillers (opioids). They will test this in 136 healthy adults by giving some a drug that blocks opioids and seeing if the pain relief goes away. The goal is to understand the mechanism, not to treat a disease.
