Family secrets: how we share (or hide) our health risks

NCT ID NCT01633021

Summary

This study aimed to learn how family members share health information when someone has a genetic-related disease like sickle cell, diabetes, or cancer. Over 1,000 adults who either had such a disease or were related to someone who did completed surveys about their family's health history and support. The goal was to use this information to help design better family support and health promotion plans in the future.
