NCT ID NCT01568671
Summary
This study aimed to understand how the human body burns calories at different room temperatures, focusing on a special type of fat called brown fat. Researchers enrolled 104 healthy adults to stay in a specialized room where temperatures were carefully controlled, from cool to warm, while measuring how many calories their bodies used. The goal was to gather basic knowledge about how temperature regulation might be connected to weight gain and obesity.
