Can sweating it out in hot yoga ease depression?
NCT ID NCT02607514
Summary
This study tested whether taking heated yoga classes could help adults with mild to moderate depression feel better. Researchers enrolled 80 people to either participate in twice-weekly hot yoga sessions or wait for treatment while tracking their symptoms. The main goals were to see if people could stick with the yoga program and whether it reduced depression symptoms, while also exploring how it might work in the body and mind.
