New hope for men suffering debilitating hot flashes from cancer treatment

NCT ID NCT06957691

Summary

This study is testing whether a medication called fezolinetant can safely reduce the frequency and severity of hot flashes in men with prostate cancer who are undergoing hormone-blocking therapy. Researchers will compare the drug to a placebo in 60 participants over 4 weeks to see if it improves symptoms and quality of life. The goal is to find an effective treatment for a common and distressing side effect that currently lacks good options.
