First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether a noninvasive brain stimulation device, used at home under remote supervision, can improve motor symptoms like stiffness, slowness, and walking difficulty in people with Parkinson's disease. 68 participants with mild-to-moderate Parkinson's will receive either active or sham stimulation daily for 4 weeks. Researchers will measure changes in movement and safety.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a safe, convenient way to ease movement symptoms like stiffness and slowness in Parkinson's disease without daily clinic visits.
What could go wrong
This is a small early-stage trial (68 people) testing a new home-based approach. The effect may be small or not last, and individual results may vary.
