At-Home brain zaps tested to slow dementia decline

NCT ID NCT05661084

Summary

This study is testing whether a caregiver can safely use a home-based, non-invasive brain stimulation device to help improve memory, thinking, and walking in older adults with mild dementia or memory loss. Participants and their caregivers will be trained to use the device at home for 20 daily sessions over a month. Researchers will measure changes in memory tests, walking speed, and daily function to see if the treatment helps.
