Cancer patients get blood transfusions at home in new pilot program
NCT ID NCT07121140
Summary
This study is testing whether cancer patients with low blood counts can safely receive blood transfusions at home instead of at the hospital. Researchers will enroll 30 patients who regularly need blood transfusions and give them 1-5 transfusions at home. The main goal is to see if home transfusions are practical and acceptable to patients, using surveys and interviews to gather feedback.
