At-home fingerstick test could replace clinic visits for diabetes screening
NCT ID NCT07155252
First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study tests whether a fingerstick glucose test done at home can accurately screen for type 1 diabetes, compared to the standard clinic-based oral glucose tolerance test. Researchers will enroll 60 people at risk for or recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. If accurate, this approach could make screening easier and more accessible.
