First seen May 20, 2026 ยท Last updated May 20, 2026
Summary
This study tested a home-based lifestyle program for adults aged 50-85 with type 2 diabetes and chronic kidney disease. The program focused on healthier eating and exercises to prevent frailty, which causes muscle weakness and makes daily tasks harder. 120 participants were assigned to either the home program or standard care, and researchers measured changes in frailty status and muscle mass over six months.
