Summary
This study tested a program called Gender-affirming Abriendo Puertas for transgender women living with HIV in Santo Domingo. The program included individual counseling, peer support, and community activities to help participants stay on HIV medication and achieve viral suppression. 124 transfeminine people were randomly assigned to either the program or standard care, and researchers tracked their viral load and care engagement over 12 months.
