First seen May 01, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looks at whether harm reduction care—where healthcare providers focus on reducing harm rather than judging drug use—can improve health outcomes and reduce stigma for people living with HIV who use drugs. Researchers will study about 768 patients and their providers at three HIV clinics. The goal is to understand how provider attitudes and harm reduction practices affect viral suppression, clinic attendance, and patient well-being, and to design a better care approach.
