NCT ID NCT07229326
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests a questionnaire called POSITIVE OUTCOMES to help doctors focus on what matters to people living with HIV, like mental health and social concerns. About 17,000 adults from five clinics in the UK and US will try it out. The goal is to see if using this tool improves care quality and patient well-being.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
POSITIVE OUTCOMES patient-reported outcome measure (questionnaire)
What this could lead to
If successful, this could provide a practical tool to make HIV care more patient-centred, potentially improving mental health, treatment adherence, and quality of life.
What could go wrong
This is an early-stage quality improvement study, not a treatment trial. It may not show clear benefits, and results may not apply to all clinics or countries.
