Scientists probe HIV's hidden link to the Body's internal clock

NCT ID NCT03133559

Summary

This study aims to understand if disruptions to the body's natural daily rhythms (circadian clock) help explain why people with HIV often develop other health problems like heart disease or diabetes. Researchers will track 80 men's daily patterns—including sleep, activity, light exposure, and body chemistry—over 48 hours to look for connections. The goal is to gather knowledge, not to test a treatment, and the study is currently suspended.
