Stronger hips, steadier steps? new study explores balance in seniors
NCT ID NCT07029347
First seen May 09, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026
Summary
This study looked at 24 elderly nursing home residents to see if the strength of their hip muscles (on both the dominant and non-dominant side) is linked to how well they can keep their balance while standing still. Researchers measured hip strength with a special device and used a force platform to track sway and weight distribution. The goal was to better understand balance problems in older adults, which could help prevent falls.
