Scientists map healthy hips with advanced MRI
NCT ID NCT02792010
Summary
This study tested a special type of MRI scan to see if it could reliably measure healthy hip cartilage. Researchers scanned 31 healthy volunteers twice in one session to check if the measurements were consistent. The goal is to gather baseline information that could help detect early cartilage changes in the future, potentially aiding in the early management of hip problems like arthritis.
