NCT ID NCT07565935

First seen May 11, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This pilot study tests whether home-based high-intensity interval training (HIIT) can help people who have reversed their type 2 diabetes keep it from returning. Researchers will recruit 20 adults who completed the NHS Path to Remission programme and achieved diabetes remission. Half will do HIIT three times a week for 16 weeks, while the other half continues usual care. The goal is to see if HIIT protects the pancreas and maintains remission longer.
