First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether high-protein drinks during labor can keep blood sugar in a healthier range for pregnant women with insulin-treated diabetes. Sixty women will be randomly assigned to drink either a high-protein beverage or standard clear liquids every four hours during labor. Participants wear a small glucose sensor to track blood sugar levels continuously.
