NCT ID NCT07571343

First seen May 10, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether drinking high-protein beverages during labor can help keep blood sugar levels stable in pregnant women with insulin-treated diabetes. About 60 women will be randomly assigned to drink either a clear protein drink or standard clear liquids (like juice or broth) during labor. Participants will wear a small glucose sensor to track blood sugar, and researchers will compare outcomes for both mother and baby.
