NCT ID NCT05768165
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looks at whether a 12-week program of high-intensity interval exercise can improve heart function, reduce inflammation, and boost quality of life in people with rheumatoid arthritis. 87 adults with stable, low-to-moderate disease activity will take part. The program includes supervised aerobic and resistance training twice a week, plus one optional session on their own.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
high-intensity interval exercise
What this could lead to
If it works, this could point toward a safe, drug-free way to improve heart health and reduce inflammation in people with rheumatoid arthritis.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage study with only 87 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. Exercise may be hard to sustain long-term, and benefits might be modest.
