New oxygen method may reduce breathing issues during lung cancer scopes

NCT ID NCT05203328

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether using a high-flow nasal cannula (a special oxygen device) during a lung cancer procedure called EBUS bronchoscopy can reduce breathing problems and procedure interruptions. About 198 adults having this procedure will be randomly assigned to receive either the high-flow device or standard oxygen. The goal is to see if the new approach leads to fewer low-oxygen episodes and shorter procedure times.
