New combo therapy aims to boost prostate cancer fight before surgery

NCT ID NCT07182279

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether giving a high dose of internal radiation (brachytherapy) before robotic prostate surgery can safely improve outcomes for men with high-risk prostate cancer. About 29 participants will receive the radiation, then surgery, and possibly short-term hormone therapy if needed. The goal is to see if this approach is safe and helps control the disease better than surgery alone.
