First seen Mar 06, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study tests whether a non-invasive brain stimulation technique called high-frequency transcranial alternating current stimulation (Hi-tACS) can improve cognitive problems like memory and attention in people with schizophrenia. About 100 adults with stable schizophrenia will receive either real or fake stimulation over several sessions. Researchers will measure changes in thinking tests and brain activity to see if the treatment helps.
