Magnetic pulses may ease hip replacement recovery
NCT ID NCT07564427
First seen May 07, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study tests if adding high-intensity pulsed electromagnetic field (HI-PEMF) therapy to standard physical therapy can reduce pain and improve daily function after total hip replacement. About 40 adults who had hip replacement due to osteoarthritis will be randomly assigned to receive either HI-PEMF plus physical therapy or physical therapy alone. The goal is to see if magnetic field therapy offers extra relief and helps people get back to normal activities faster.
