Major study maps hidden breast cancer subtype in russia

NCT ID NCT05913440

Summary

This study looked back at the medical records of 1,669 Russian patients with advanced breast cancer that was classified as HER2-negative. The main goal was to see how many of these patients actually had a specific subtype called 'HER2-low' when their tests were re-checked. Researchers also wanted to understand the typical patient profiles, what treatments doctors used in real practice, and how well different labs agreed on test results, including comparing human pathologists to an AI program.
