First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study is testing a new way to treat moderate-to-severe hemorrhoids by combining a laser procedure with a stitch technique. About 100 adults will receive the treatment and be followed for a year. The goal is to see if it reduces pain, bleeding, and tissue prolapse better than current methods.

Active substance
Laser and stitch procedure
What this could lead to
If successful, this combined procedure could offer a more effective, less painful option for treating moderate-to-severe hemorrhoids, reducing recovery time and recurrence.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage study with only 100 participants and no comparison group. Results may not apply to everyone, and risks like bleeding or infection remain.
