NCT ID NCT05086224

First seen Apr 29, 2026 ยท Last updated Apr 29, 2026

Summary

This study compares two ways to numb the arm before setting a broken wrist: a hematoma block (injecting numbing medicine into the fracture site) and a Bier block (using a tourniquet and IV medicine). About 500 adults with a displaced distal radius fracture will take part. The goal is to see which method provides better pain control during the procedure.
