Heart waves study: pulse test meets AI to spot hidden artery disease

NCT ID NCT06734247

First seen Apr 28, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study looked at whether measuring pulse wave velocity (a sign of artery stiffness) combined with machine learning could better predict serious coronary artery disease in people with chest pain or shortness of breath. Researchers planned to enroll 156 adults aged 30-69 undergoing a heart CT scan. The study was terminated early, so results are limited.
