First seen Mar 18, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study looked at 86 adults with severe aortic valve stenosis who had valve replacement surgery. Researchers used heart MRI scans before and one year after surgery to measure scarring in the heart muscle. The goal was to see if the scarring improves after surgery and whether MRI can help doctors decide the best time to operate.
