Can fixing a stiff heart valve heal the heart's scars?
NCT ID NCT05404100
Summary
This study looked at whether replacing a severely narrowed heart valve (aortic stenosis) could reduce scarring in the heart muscle. Researchers followed 86 patients, using special heart MRI scans before and one year after their valve replacement surgery. The goal was to see if this scan could help doctors decide the best time for surgery in the future.
